Tennis at Morningside

ALL SKILL LEVELS & AGES WELCOME

MCC Tennis welcomes members ranging from average to advanced level players. From Tennis League, to Social Tennis sessions and private coaching, Morningside Tennis Club has it all. We encourage any new players to please arrive on a Saturday afternoon for one of our social sessions so that we can assess your level of play.

Should your level not be of a week-end social standard, you are welcome to play and book the courts another time at your own convenience.

Equipped with a reliable generator, there's no fear of power outages disrupting your game. At Morningside, the game goes on, ensuring that you can enjoy the sport you love - without any unwanted interruptions.

  • Tennis League

    Teams are entered in competitions in February, May/June, and August/September.

    The club championships take place in October.

  • Social Tennis

    Social tennis sessions are available on the following days and times:

    SAT : 2PM to 4PM

    SUN : 10AM to 1PM

Visitors and members of other clubs are welcome to come and enjoy our facilities. Each player will be required to pay a fee of R50 per hour, each time they play.

Tennis Courts and Facilities

MORE THAN JUST A TENNIS CLUB

At Morningside Tennis Club, we have 6 courts, all fully equipped with lights. During the week coaching takes place on courts 1 and 2, however, all 4 other courts are available. Members are welcome to play tennis at any other time, but will need to
book courts on the SportyHQ app. Members will need to supply their own balls.

Round robins, training clinics, and other social events are also organized internally on a regular basis throughout the year.
